Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee Names Lisa Kaul's Campaign a National Target Race

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) has named Lisa Kaul’s campaign for New York Senate District 39 a National Target Race, recognizing it as a must win race for Democrats in the New York Senate. The designation highlights the importance of the race as Democrats work to gain one additional seat needed to build a supermajority in the New York Senate.

The DLCC’s National Target Race program identifies the nation’s top legislative battlegrounds and provides strategic investments, campaign infrastructure, and organizational support to help elect Democratic candidates in key races. The designation highlights the importance of New York’s 39th Senate District in strengthening the Democratic Majority and advancing policies that improve the lives of working families across New York.
